England Squash Membership is changing

Changes to the England Squash Membership system were introduced from 19 August and as our own Club's affiliation/registration renews on 30th November, the changes that have been made will now have an effect on all players.

The new scheme is aimed at providing a flexible and accessible gateway to squash that will support the game to thrive, allow more people to discover the game and enable more people to feel part of the squash community.

So what's changing?

Up until now, your England Squash player membership was paid for by the club. However, from 30 November 2024 player memberships and club affiliation will be split, which means that you will need to individually purchase your player membership directly from England Squash.

You are now able to choose from five membership categories that offer a range of valuable benefits, including discounts of up to 70% off SQUASHTV.

NB. For all players who play in competitive matches for the Club, or in any England Squash competitions, or in Open events at other clubs, the minimum level of membership that it is necessary to have is 'Just Play' - costing £15 per annum (Junior membership also costs £15 pa). Memberships additionally provide players with 'public liability and personal accident cover' (see https://membership.englandsquash.com for more details).

Where membership fees goes

100% of all England Squash membership fees are re-invested right back into the sport. Your membership will therefore help to grow the game you love - from supporting clubs like ours, to delivering coaching programmes, plus many opportunities for junior players every year.

Please ensure that you create your individual membership as soon as possible. All 'team players' must complete their individual membership subscriptions by 31st December for team captains to be able to nominate them in squads for Jan.2025 onwards.

Kind regards,
