Social Tennis Tournaments Plan for 2025
Hi Everyone
We are pleased to announce that our coaching team will be taking over responsibility for organising and delivering our social tournaments. (Unless we have an eager volunteer or 2!)
Our Head Coach, Brian will be sending out information and details very soon.
The aim will be to offer our tennis members opportunities to take part in some sociable tournaments with different themes and formats and a chance to play with players of similar levels. Historically our tournaments have been on bank holiday weekends, but this year they will be at random times on different days depending on the players and themes...
Here is a few examples of potential events:
- Grand slam theme around the French Open, Wimbledon & US Open
- Touch Tennis - Check out what this is by clicking the link touchtennis Amazing Rallies It's basically a mini version of tennis with a hard sponge ball... Great fun!
- Adult/Junior tournament. We team up our adult entrants with our stronger juniors
- Mens/ladies morning event... We bring the men and ladies together for a mixed daytime tournament
- Improvers only
- Team players only
- Fancy dress event
- And of course our traditional open tournament for all club players.
Hopefully our new formats will bring more players together and an enjoyable, sociable, fun, friendly few hours of competition tennis.
