Hi Everyone

GRACE matches have started so good luck to everyone taking part.. Enjoy the journey with a different partner.. They may be happy, annoying, feisty, friendly, competitive, non competitive, consistent, inconsistent, expressionless, shy, cocky, eager to offer tips.... Whatever they are... Enjoy the experience...

Super busy at Wednesday club night this week... Thank you to all those that turned up for your patience.. Good atmosphere on and off court... Remember the courts are floodlit til 930pm so maybe turn up slightly later..

Don't forget Saturday social sessions too from 2-4pm. Great atmosphere and other players to play against.

Well done in the A24 derby to our ladies midweek team for their 4-0 win against Leatherhead. Great to beat the local rivals...

Ball machine back in action... Well done Dathan for sorting out again...

Ladies Morning Tournament Report - Mary Williams

A brilliant sunny October morning was very welcome for the 5 courts of competitive, friendly tennis. There was an excellent turnout including our new younger regulars! Many more regulars and friends joined us for our famous buffet lunch with delicious homemade cuisine..
Well done to winner, Nasrin Harris with runners up, Susanne Willis and Gosia Terelak.

Next item on the agenda is the Christmas lunch at The Pheasant, Buckland on Tuesday 17th December.
New lady members are very welcome to join our jolly sessions on Tuesdays & Fridays at 9am weekly.

Coaching Tip of the Week

Attack a slower ball... It's there to be hit. Read the speed and the depth as early as you can and step in and hit a more aggressive shot. It doesn't have to be a winner. Look for placement... Big opportunity is always the return of the 2nd serve.. Take it on. Stick it to your opponent.. It's a gift that might not happen in the rally...
